Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Job Type: 6-month contract
Location: Fully remote (Based out of Tennessee)
Shift: 1st; Negotiable based on location from 7am-6pm CST
Pay: $20-24+ (DOE)
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle payroll for employees, including regular, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries via email, phone, or ticketing system.
- Audit payroll results for accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure timely submission of payroll taxes and filings.
- Assist with payroll-related reporting and analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information.
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information.
- Support implementation and updates of payroll systems and processes, including Workday or similar platforms.
- Continuously monitor and improve payroll procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of payroll processing experience is required.
- Familiarity with payroll systems; Workday and ticketing system experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity when handling confidential information.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have reliable internet and a dedicated workspace for remote work.
